Dunk and Egg Have Been Cast for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms!

Exciting news has emerged for a highly anticipated upcoming adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”! The main cast has been announced, Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell as the central stars of the series, portraying the beloved characters Dunk and Egg. The series is a collection of short novels revolving around Ser Duncan the Tall, the young Aegon “Egg” Targaryen, and their travels around Westeros.

HBO has stuck to their trend of hiring lesser known actors with this cast. Peter Claffey only has a few acting credits under his belt, but has trained at Bow Street Academy for acting. Those who have read the books will be glad to know he was previously a pro rugby player and stands at 6’6″, nearing Ser Duncan’s 7 foot height.

Child actors have usually struck home in the Game of Thrones universe and Dexter Sol Ansell seems no exception. He’s recently played Young Coriolanus in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” and looks like he’s straight out of the Targaryen family.

Production will follow later this year, and is expected to be ready for a 2025 release.
